Seeing the World... What a Life!
I am Dale Brewton, I was born to be a travel consultant. Not uncommon, my travel experiences began at a young age as my family and I was fortunate to spend vacations away from home, exploring other cities and states. Mom didn't know it, but she was planting the seed that brings us to this day.
By the same token, when we weren't vacationing, I was spending time with my older brother bonding as young men do. He and I made the mad dashes and audacious excursions leaving Baltimore behind traveling to New York and New Jersey. I was 14 years old when the travel bug bit me.
Traveling is not just a hobby, it's my passion and profession
As a matter of fact, by the time I turned 18 years old, I had traveled alone to Pennsylvania, Washington DC, Virginia, and Atlantic City. Then it hit me... I could travel the world for free! Soon after that realization and other consideration, I made the decision to join the US Navy where I traveled to numerous places in the US and beyond. The world is truly a magnificent place as I saw countries which exceeded my expectations.
Nevertheless, after eight years, it was time for a career change. In view of my active duty tour and Naval career ending, I returned to my roots and to my family in Maryland. It was there that I met the love of my life. I married Sandra in 2005, our honeymoon in Aruba had a lasting impact on both our lives.
Comparatively, the time spent in Aruba is indescribable. Likewise, it's why we travel to the Caribbean whenever we can get away. Identically, my wife and I both enjoy traveling and we thought the best way to share our experiences would be to open a travel agency. With that in mind, in 2007, Brewton Travel officially launched its campaign to provide the best travel and vacation packages worldwide. Our goal is to visit the destinations included in our vacation packages so that you are accurately informed about a specific tourist attraction, historical landmark, beach or local eatery.
Armed with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management and further learning Brewton Travel pledge to offer customers service of the highest quality. Moreover, our experience and allegiance to customer satisfaction earned us a solid reputation in the travel industry. We strive to bring you the best travel experience by keeping abreast of the latest happenings around the world so you don't miss an event. Not to mention, you can expect the VIP treatment whenever you travel with us.
If you don't mind, let us arrange your travel plans for you. We can put together packages that will totally fit your needs and desires despite where you live or want to go. We are here for you. Let us take care of the details while you continue your daily routine.
Here at Brewton Travel, our mission is to provide quality travel packages to our customers. We want to build relationships, get to know you, and make you a part of our extended family.
If you are looking for a romantic vacation coupled with adventure travel, Barcelona, Spain is an exotic destination that has everything to offer, therefore, no sweetheart, adrenaline junkie or thrill seeker gets left behind. In comparison to Madrid, Barcelona is, uniquely, an illustrious travel destination suitable for any occasion or season.
Although Madrid is Spain’s capital, I highly recommend you visit Barcelona. It's one of the top tourist attractions ever and a favorite sight among European travelers. Want to know why? Let's explore the possibilities.
Things To Do In Barcelona
What makes Barcelona so insatiable that people return to its arms?
Barcelona Spain Hotels
Fortunately, there are hundreds of hotels nearby but there's this one swish hotel that I love. The romantic Majestic Hotel & Spa, situated in the Paseo de Gracia, opened in 1918 and has retained its Gaudi five star status since. Not only does the hotel feature a pool and lounge on its rooftop, but you can see clearly why the people rate Majestic Hotel & Spa as one of the best hotels in Barcelona through the penetrating views of Passeig de Gracia and La Sagrada Familia.
If you love Spain and want to see more of it, follow your heart and go to Barcelona! I promise you won't regret this incredible decision to do something exciting and special for yourself and the one you love. Take it from me - the city is absolutely timeless, boasting its rich culture and historic architecture. Identically, Barcelona receives insane reviews for its mythic nightlife and its unquestionable cuisine.
Best Travel Advice
Nonetheless, before you fly off to Barcelona, Spain, I have one enlightening travel tip. My best travel advice is to learn the Catalan language or at least the top phrases and the value of your money. The ability to communicate with the locals will allow you to interact with the Catalonia people and at the same time, come to understand their culture.
Well, if you decide to go, I hope you let Brewton Travel book your reservations for you. They are pretty good at arranging travel plans, you know. In the meantime, if you have stories you'd like to share about your Barcelona trip, please do so. We'd love to hear about them.
Want to know where the best vacation spots are? Ask a senior! They go everywhere you wish you could be. Senior travelers are able to take advantage of many affordable destinations that cater to those who have nothing better to do than to travel and enjoy life.
Now that the nest egg is empty, you want it to stay that way... even you have left the security cameras in charge. The adults you once knew as your children find it exceptionally hard to keep up with you.
According to some of the top travel websites, the Over the Hill Gangs and the Golden Girls are traveling more these days, but where are they going is the question? Well, there are a few possible escape routes that your beloved mothers and fathers have flown off to, but don't tell them I told you.
Boston is a true work of art and its appeal is most likely the charming European style buildings and streets. Instead of being pushed around on the crowded sidewalks, unbothered individuals stroll at a snail's pace through the historical district downtown. But that is only one reason why it is one of the best destinations to travel when wanting to escape the busy city life.
The Boston Harbor
Other unhurried seniors visit those quaint little shops on Newbury Street, the Museum of Fine Arts or they take a trip to the Boston Public Market for a ridiculously fresh sample of some of Boston's fanciest treats. Later in the evening, you may find the senior escapes sitting down, sharing a few hearty laughs over a nice, beefy meal overlooking Boston's captivating waterfront.
You may not think of Branson, MO as one of the most sought after or spectacular senior vacation spots, but trust me, it's become a popular vacation package for many young-at-heart individuals. Branson has plenty of entertainment venues where you can catch a once-in-a-lifetime concert, fuel the body with an amazing dinner, bust a gut at a comedy show or attend a captivating magic show all on the seven-mile strip along the Missouri State Highway 76 in Branson.
The Ozark Mountains
While you're there, don't forget to set your eyes on the jaw dropping scenery of the Ozark Mountains. You may find your loved one or loved ones camping outdoors, communing with nature or hiding out in a cabin somewhere in Branson, Mo. Retirement is the life, isn't it?
Virginia Beach, VA
Being on the Atlantic coast, there's something for everyone in Virginia Beach, VA, however, it's especially affordable for the senior community. Virginia Beach is most known for its Boardwalk. I love it! It's three miles of culture, history and pure beauty. The Oceanfront is where you'll find comfort foods to soothe the savage beast and the sparkling, sandy beaches have a way of pausing time for those who visit. One favorite among veterans and active military personnel is the Military Aviation Museum, along with a tour of the Naval Air Station Oceana.
Night view of the Boardwalk
There are exciting events taking place in the fall such as the Neptune Festival, featuring the North American Sand Sculpting Championships, surfing contests, art shows and so much more. I suggest visiting Virginia Beach any time of the year, but around November and all the way through to New Year's Day, you can see the McDonald's Holiday Lights for a bit of nostalgia.
I hope this was helpful in locating a few of the spectacular senior vacation spots. However, your unavailable parents may not be at any of these places as they may have dipped off to Vegas, but you know what they say about Vegas; What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!
Well, my birthday is in September and this year, I plan on giving myself something special. I had been thinking about autumn cruises or winter cruises anyway and if you are thinking about a sensational birthday present for the avid traveler, this can be the perfect gift.
Where do you start planning for such a marvelous event? For the first time cruiser, putting it all together can be challenging. There are so many decisions to make like -
With these options, a great place to start is by calling your favorite travel agent and let them handle the details. Sure, you can Google cruise ports or destinations and read page after page of information and they will even compare prices for you, but why go through that? One call to your travel agent does it all!
Start planning beforehand by contacting your family and friends months in advance. Taking advantage of fall cruise deals early on will save you money. If you are looking for the best discount cruises, you're in for a great surprise. Thinking about luxury cruises in Europe or Christmas cruises? Not to worry, Brewton Travel has plenty of jaw dropping destinations to choose from. Brewton Travel has the best rates on river cruises and even cruises to the Caribbean. Transition or repositioning cruises are a favorite among fall and winter sea goers as they can be cheaper and the tours can last up to two weeks.
If you're worried that you won't experience the vibrant fall colors, think again. What you will see is the fall changing from another point of view. Fall cruises put a whole new perspective on the season. To top it off, you will never see the sunset the same way twice. Forget driving cross country to see the earthy colors take form this year. Let someone else drive and set sail into the autumn breezes.
Wherever you decide to go, remember to consider the weather. For the most part, temperatures in the tropics remain the same, however, it can be the rainy season for many of the locations. The weather in the Mediterranean during the fall is rather chilly, so you may want to pack a jacket. In short, you will need to pack items according to your destination's climate.
How romantic is a relaxing stroll on deck just after dark in the open sea? I can tell you... it's extremely romantic. I remember my first cruise. Needless to say, it was beautiful. I can still taste the tantalizing cuisine and hear the sounds of the men singing in acapella as they promenade passed me on the cruise ship deck. The view, well, it's nothing short of breathtaking. You owe it to yourself to make your dream of a fall cruise a reality. You'll fall in love all over again. Go ahead and book it. You won't regret it.
Nowadays, you can find more than enough travel advice from what destinations you should choose to who's got the best cheap flights and even tips on how to pack. Being the mover and shaker that I am, I've learned a few things over the years and well, I am entrusting you with some lessons learned.
I started traveling to new places as a young child and there's nothing more refreshing and educational as experiencing other cultures, lands, people and foods. You can't put a price on that, however, when I find a hack that really saves time and money, I get all fuzzy inside. Don't you?To help you get through your next flight, I've listed a few of my best travel tips to take with you.
Take Advantage of Flight Tickets
When I see the cost of a flight I want to take, I want to kiss the feet of whomever came up with the concept of frequent traveler miles! If you're not taking advantage of travel miles, you should be. It can save you tons of money on plane tickets over a period of time.
Another way to benefit from a flight is to accept the offer of a layover in another city you want to visit. For instance, if you are flying to Virginia from the New Orleans International Airport and there was a stop in Atlanta, GA, you could extend the stay and resume your flight a few days later. Humm, I just killed two birds with one stone. Love it! Ask your travel agent to arrange the details for you.
Getting Through Security
Although I love traveling, one of the most frustrating aspects of air travel is having to stand in the long lines for a security check. But have you noticed that the lines are usually shorter on the far left side of the check point?
According to the experts, most people are right handed. Therefore, it's normal for those individuals to go to their right instead of heading left. As a result, less people are waiting in line and you can get to your appointed rounds quicker. I know... smart, huh?
Learn the Language
While you're on the flight to another country, why not learn the language? I mean, that's terrific travel advice, wouldn't you say? Because you can't be totally oblivious to everything the locals say. You need to communicate some things. So, get this highly popular app called Memrise. It will help you to remember key phrases in Russian, French, German, Spanish and so much more. I tried it for free and I think the application is fun, easy to navigate and extremely useful.
Your Electronic Devices
I don't know about you, but I keep my wireless devices close. I'm either on the phone, returning missed calls or checking emails on my tablet or on the laptop, clicking away on my keyboard.
Having these things will keep you pretty busy while you wait for the next flight or while you're on the plane, but you should only bring a couple of devices. Only bring what is absolutely necessary, but don't forget your portable charger while you're on vacation. Use a portable charger for those times when you can't plug-in and need a boost.
Another invaluable device is the streaming stick. If you plan on watching television at all, this compact device will allow you to watch what you want to watch on Hulu, Netflix or HBO etc...
What I love about one particular streaming stick is that it permits you to bypass the hassles of signing in with the hotel's public network and allows you to sign in through your smartphone's browser.
Arrival and Hotel Check-In
Once you reach your hotel, you should be greeted by the hotel's bellman. This person can be a lifesaver if you're traveling with lots of baggage. Be sure to tip your bellman accordingly.
Most of these men work for nominal wages and tipping increases their income. With that being said, there are actually some countries where tipping is not necessary for everything that your attentive bell hop does.
Well, I hope I've given you some travel tips that you can use. Do you have any tips that you'd like to share? We welcome all of your tips or comments. Don't forget to hashtag Brewton Travel

The month of September brings cooler air and a new season. It's a great time to travel to climates which are exceptionally warm during the summer months. Many people take their vacations in the fall, but you will find that crowding is not an issue as school has started for many students and the bulk of the tourists have returned home. Hotels and restaurants that were reserved previously are likely seeking to make new reservations and they are offering discounts!
Make September a Month to Remember
Whether you want to enjoy the sand beneath your feet or attend a festival, September is the best month for fall get-a ways. You can also find fall vacations deals that save you money. My best travel tip, however, is to pack light for the arrival so that you can carry more luggage on the departure. With that in mind, let's take a peek at a few of the best places to travel to for a fall get-away.
Santa Barbara, California
California is always a top choice as a fall vacation idea. It has miles of beautiful, breathtaking beaches and amazing weather. Looking for romance and luxury? Make September a month to remember in Santa Barbara. Stay the weekend and you may find yourself wanting to extend your room reservations. Many of the five star hotels offer seductive spa packages, remarkable ocean side room views and intoxicating meals.
Olare Mara Kempinski
Looking for opulence and adventure? Olare Mara Kempinski gives you an unforgettable and exciting real life experience just like the reality TV stars' trip to South Africa. See the animals in a new perspective as you stand among the wildlife that surround the remarkable, green scenery. Guest of the Masai Mara Camp are housed in posh tents that are furnished with the amenities of home. This is one travel adventure you don't want to miss.
Greece is a spellbinding and qualifying favorite fall tourist attraction in Europe. If you are thinking about taking that once-in-a-lifetime trip this September, your head's in the right direction. Greece is truly a captivating site, showing off its unique coastline and unhurried, remote beaches. Discover the highly photogenic, pristine islands and breath in its heavenly air. Hands down, it's one of the best places to travel for a fall get-away.
There are so many wonderful qualities about Puerto Rico and it's what draws people to this enchanting town again and again. Gaze among the tempting, natural rainforests and wondrous waterfalls that seem to rustle your name. The crystal clear waters and the rum beverages mesmerize beach goers as they stay all day, taking it one sigh at a time.

If there is anything that you have learned about your bride-to-be is that she loves surprises, hates crowds, cherishes a waterfront view and is tickled by the sand between her toes. All you have to do is pick the place that will allow you both to escape the pressures of planning a wedding, but gives you the same memorable and romantic experience.

Personalized a wedding and honeymoon package that reflect your love for each other and your lifestyle. Without further ado, let's review 5 of the most breathtaking places to marry the love of your life.
Aruba is among the most sought after destinations for beach weddings. Although small, this island is surrounded by mesmerizing blue waters and sparkling sand. You and your life companion can enjoy a spellbinding view on a sunset cruise, accompanied by a delightful dinner on the waterfront.
It's the perfect place to propose and later, fulfill your mission of engaging in a marriage ceremony. Aruba is also the perfect spot to have an exotic honeymoon. What better place for an all- inclusive wedding packages?
Everyone dreams of the Bahamas, so why not make your new bride's fantasy real? Versailles Gardens has become one of the best destination wedding locations in the world. You'll both fall in love with the pink sandy beaches located on Harbour Island as they are captivating and perfect for the beach wedding.
Once you stay overnight, you become eligible to apply for a marriage license. Bring your birth certificates, passport and proof of arrival, along with evidence of being a single person or a divorce decree and you can be married the next day. Be sure to gather all of these things before you leave home.
The name Belize is enticing in itself, however, you should see the islands for yourself. Belize has more than 100 islands offshore and wonderful weather year round. Many couples jump the broom under the waterfalls in Cayo.
If you are looking for beach wedding ideas, head to the Ambergris Caye where you will be greeted by other barefoot visitors on the luxurious beach.
You will need to stay in Belize for about three days before you can apply for a license, but after that, everything else is a breeze. Bring all of the necessary documents with you such as the passport and proof of your citizenship. You'll also need to provide proof that you are indeed single, divorced or widowed and around $100, give or take a few dollars.
The Golden State of California is ideal for couples wanting to take the dive into holy matrimony. Lake Tahoe, Santa Barbara and Napa Valley are intoxicating venues for such a meaningful event as a ceremony that validates the love of two happy people.
In California, they recognize same sex marriages and the license isn't difficult to obtain. Bring your (photo) identification and possibly your birth certificate to a judge or clergy and you will be able to kiss your bride shortly thereafter. Yes, it's just that simple and best of all, you don't need a blood test to get married in California.
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
How stunning is Punta Cana? It's the top of the line when it comes to unforgettable vacations and all inclusive destination wedding packages. Your wedding could be free of charge. If you are balling on a budget, this could be the place for you. You may need to complete the paperwork for the ceremony at least six months in advance. You must provide documents that show that you are single and that you have the right to marry the love of your life.
Cruising is the most economical vacation there is. When you compare all of what you get when you cruise to ala carte vacation the savings is significant. Here is a glimpse of what you get for one price. You get to stop at several destinations without paying airfare each time. All the meals included, eat as much as you want anytime you want. You can always find something ready for you. Entertainment from game shows, comedies, musicals, magic acts, you name it. On a cruise there will always be something going on for your amusement. All this and more for one up front price. However; if you are a drinker the expenses can add up pretty quick. Purchasing a spirit, beer and wine package can save you a considerable amount of money. These packages are one of the latest trends in the cruise industry. Having unlimited alcohol beverages was only for cruisers on luxury cruise lines. Royal Caribbean spirits package cost on an average and varies from sailings is $55.00 per day and include all drinks and 20% off bottles of wine.
Carnival offers a Cheer package for $54.95 per day and $49.95 if purchase before sailing. Package includes all spirits, beer and wine.
Gratuity is added to the packages and range between 15-18%.
I hope this has been helpful. Happy sailing, cheers and bottoms up!
We featured this Caribbean jewel on our website under weekly destination. Visit our site for information on other great destinations www.Brewtontavel.com.
Barbados had a recorded breaking year in tourism. Long stay arrivals grew by 13.7 percent. There was a 25 percent increased of visitors from the US. One contributing factor for Barbados growth is greater availability of flights. In 2015, Delta introduces flights departing twice weekly from Atlanta and New York. Air Canada started flying their Boeing 777. The Boeing777 is a massive three cabin configuration that seats 458 passengers. To top off the availability of flights, Barbados is the first international destination to receive Jet Blue's mint service.
Jet Blue starting in April will be flying daily from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to Barbados (BGI). Fort Lauderdale will be Jet Blue's third city with non-stop flights along with New York (JFK), and its latest Boston (BOS) which started in the fall of 2015. Beginning in March, Jet Blue will be changing its aircraft flying from JFK to an A321, which features 16 lie-flat seats.
Now you know the additional ways to get to Barbados, here's the hotspots to stay. Together the new all-inclusive Sandals Barbados as well as the new Sugar Bay all-inclusive resort added 380 more rooms to Barbados inventory. Sandals are planning to construct 220 more rooms this year. Beaches ultimate all-inclusive resort is coming to Barbados. They will be building at the site of the Almond Beach Resort later this year.
When to go? Anytime is the right time to go to Barbados. One of their traditional celebrations is Tourism Week held annually in early December. It starts with a parade in Bridgetown, Barbados capital. There are events throughout the week. On Friday, there's a fish fry in Oistins, a parish on the south coast of Barbados where they know how to party. The beach is where they party. There's plenty of places to eat, craft booths to purchase souvenirs, and night clubs and bars. Saturday a concert is held in Independence Square.
When I was there, my wife and I made the newspapers. Our photograph was on the first page of the entertainment section of the Weekend Nation, Barbados leading newspaper. In Bridgetown, the photographer was taking pictures of the crowd. We stood out as having a great time. We stayed at The Club Barbados on the northwest coast of the island. Celebrities frequent that side. We were treated like celebrities after the hotel staff recognizes us from the newspaper. We had a wonderful time. In fact, Barbados was the first Caribbean island I decided to return to on the same day of our arrival.
